You are cordially invited to PCACAC's first ever virtual Rural and Small Town Special Interest Group (SIG) Workshop. Grab a cup of coffee and join us on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 8:30am -12:00pm for laid back and engaging conversations with colleagues from rural and small town populations within the PCACAC region.
8:30am - Welcome & Coffee Chat We'll start off the day with a chat and welcome from PCACAC President Rebekah LaPlante.
9:00am - Demystifying the College Admissions Process Learn how to demystify the college admissions process, especially in these uncertain times.
9:50am - Paying for College Brian Weingart, Senior Director of Financial Aid from the Higher Education Policy Commission/College Foundation of West Virginia, will discuss paying for college and opportunities that students can take advantage of.
10:40am - Gap Year/Community College Conversation We’ll have an open conversation regarding the topic of “the gap year” and alternative routes to four-year institutions.
11:20am - Student Panel Hear from student representatives who have experienced some of the very topics that will be discussed throughout the morning.
